Breds blow an 8-2 advantage, but credit the Cougars for not giving up. I'm going through the stat sheets now, details of this one in a few.

I hear my girl came in early and pitched well in relief.

Strong effort by O Henry!

Hats off to Conner's Olivia Henry on a very nice job in relief, and the whole Conner team for not giving up when down. Both teams had multiple chances to score but a little bit of everything came into play tonight to prevent that.

Very nice game by Conner's Bethany Maines at shortstop, she looked like Cal Ripken Jr. out there tonight.

Tough game for the Breds to let slip away, and in the fashion that they did.....but put it behind you and learn from this one.

Sounds like the Breds are going thru some growing pains. When you lose as much as they did last year will always hurt, but they have had a impressive games this year.

Did see their frosh team play last year and sounds like that jump in class to varsity and the difference and speed in the game may be showing a bit. Still a lot to learn. Been hearing some things and sounds like the players need to learn, because there is a lot to learn, and the stands need to be patient!! Have to side with Coach on this one..... but don't let Boss Hogg hear this!!

Really happy to see the Conner girls keep it together. That's not easy to do thru adversity. High School sports should be fun and memorable and distractions like this one can tarnish that. The team and coaches have done an outstanding job refocusing.

Now I say that, but that doesn't mean we don't want to beat them in a couple weeks!!!

A real team effort by the cougars last night. They could have easily thrown in the towel early but continued to focus and play solid defensive at every position. I have to mention the effort by Cassidy Billingsley, a ninth grader that was slotted in to 1st base in the 3rd inning I think. Went three for three and played a solid 1st base. She really took advantage of the opportunity. Conner is still knocking the dust off but I wouldn't overlook these young ladies.

1 walk in 9 innings is really impressive. That's her game. She's not Biz when it comes to a dominating fastball but she is really strong in limiting free passes. Notice how many were given up by both of the other pitchers. Those are KILLER in softball.

Are there any rules as to the minimum amount of games played to be able to compete post season? I know you can not play more than a certain amount.

I think as long as you play a District schedule, you're good to go...

Don't know if there is a minimum, but the maximum number of games before District play starts is 36.
