April 13, 201610 yr When everyone comes back healthy, hopefully in the next month or so, what would you like to see the Reds rotation and bullpen look like. I'll start. Iglesias Finnegan Bailey- Trade at deadline if he pitches well Stephenson Reed Pen Moscott Simon Cotham Lorenzen Wood Strally Lamb Hoover
April 13, 201610 yr Starters: Disco Bailey Iglesias Moscot Lamb Relievers: Cotham Lorenzen Finnegan Wood Simon Straily Hoover (closer)

April 13, 201610 yr Author Assuming leaving off DeSclafani was just an oversight, @LRCW? Yes. Total brain fart on my part. I knew I was missing something, but looked over my list 2-3 times and couldn't come up with it. He would obviously be in the rotation.
April 13, 201610 yr Once they trade Homer (assuming it's possible), that's when I bring up Stephenson and Reed and move Moscot to the pen.
April 13, 201610 yr Author I know fans are really down on the Reds right now, but I'm super excited about the future of the team, and I honestly don't think they're that far away from being very competitive. And this is coming from a guy who is almost always pessimistic when it comes to his sports teams. It will be interesting to see how the Reds handle Reed, Stephenson, Garrett, Finnegan, Lamb, and all the other young pitching prospects if they continue to impress.

I'm right there with ya, but I think it may take a little longer than you're thinking. The staff should be pretty solid, possibly as early as next season, but the other side has some work to do. Right now they've got Votto and Suarez with the rest a major toss-up.
April 13, 201610 yr Starters: Disco Bailey Iglesias Moscot Lamb Relievers: Cotham Lorenzen Finnegan Wood Simon Straily Hoover (closer) Switch Finnegan and Moscot and I go with that. If Finnegan isn't a starter, I would like to see him as the closer
April 13, 201610 yr Once they trade Homer (assuming it's possible), that's when I bring up Stephenson and Reed and move Moscot to the pen. You're going to wait till 2017 for them? You cant trade Homer till this offseason at earliest, no one will touch him.
April 13, 201610 yr You're going to wait till 2017 for them? You cant trade Homer till this offseason at earliest, no one will touch him. He should be back in May I believe. That would give him plenty of time to show he's healthy for a team to make a move for him IMO. If that doesn't happen, I probably wait to see how the other guys are doing before I bring them up. If they're having success, no reason to rush the likes of Reed and Stephenson. I think Stephenson will be up for good at some point this year. Would not surprise me if Reed didn't get the call until next season though.
April 13, 201610 yr ^ I think Reed is here before Stephenson. Really? Today was Reed's 1st appearance above the AA level. Personally, I think Stephenson is more ML ready. The good news is they have enough young arms that they won't have to rush either one of them.

Stephenson to me seems like a headcase, mentally.
