The SLU hire of Travis Ford is bizarre on both sides. SLU is such a different place in terms of college athletics, it is a very close community, a very family-feel to their athletic department, and they hired a guy famously tough to deal with. I have several friends in their department and I hope it works out, but it just feels interesting. Likewise, I'm a little shocked Travis settled for a program back-sliding in a good (not great) league. Outside of having a newer, and very nice, arena, there aren't a lot of built-in advantages when competing with the Dayton's and the VCU's of the A-10. The Billies were 6-14 in their league this year...that is problematic for them.

 

King Rice to Vandy seems very likely, especially with Fogler's involvement.

 

Jeff Capel is the 1st choice in ATL for GaTech. If that doesn't get done, there are 5 "next guys" that will get a shot. It is completely up to Jeff at this point.

At least the Atlantic 10 doesn't have relegation
