That brings up an interesting question I have had

 

Why has Bell just not promoted an Assistant to HC? If for no other reason as an "Interim" type of deal until they could properly find someone or better options opened up?

 

I have heard 10+ names of HC's linked to Bell and they haven't pinned one down yet. I have heard how there is no pay for Assistants and how one of the biggest hurdles to luring a coach, this would seemingly help alleviate some of those issues?

 

I still think Bell's biggest mis-step was "Moon Gate". To hitch your school system's wagon to the guy taking YOUR Head Coach to court said it all. That single event single handily showed all the the cards and in the process became a glowing example of why "you shouldn't coach at Bell".

 

To say that the powers to be at Bell has made this a goat rodeo is an understatement.

 

Four years ago this would be viewed as one of the pinnacle coaching gigs in KY, now Bell can't even find a candidate to give the job to.

Yes handled very bad. Not thinking about kids at all.

Maybe some good can still come from this whole fiasco, such as the Superintendent being shown the door. In my opinion, the school system will not be on the right course until that happens.

Coming very soon. It is pathetic the way this entire thing has been done. They will never find another HC or staff that will treat and work for the kids as good as the bunch they let go. Most of them are Bell Co. people with deep ties and love the community and kids. Ask anyone that has played them, they did a pretty darn good job coaching. They never did it for the PATHETIC pay or the appreciation (or lack there of) from the Administration.

 

It will never recover IMO. They have really separated the former players from supporting the program from the way things were done. That is the guys that coach the youth leagues and go to every game.

Why doesn't the community rally at the board meetings until the Superintendent is shown the door? Show you won't vote for board members to be re-elected and things can change.
