What does Breathitt County need to do to improve in 2016? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

A little shimmer of optimism in Jackson after a rough stretch of years.

 

Rumors are that Mike Holcomb will be assisting Kyle Moore in a big way.

 

The Bobcats lose their one man Offensive machine in Collins, but return numerous skill players who were thrown into the fire as underclassmen including a promising young QB in Cameron Stacy who started last year as a Freshman.

 

I don't think Breathitt will be a Top 10 caliber team or contend for the Title, but expect the Bobcats to show improvement as they try to get their program back on track. A Regional Finals birth is not entirely out of the question if they can win their District with the drama at Bell County.

Winning the district will be key. That district was very down last year and nobody looks to be head and shoulders above anyone else this year. The Bell County drama, as @ATLCat mentioned, could get the district winner into a regional final with Corbin. That would likely be the end of the line, but would be a very positive step back in the right direction for Breathitt County.

I don't think Holcomb will be back helping in Jackson. Breathit will be right in the thick of things with Estill IMO for the district Championship. I still think Estill is the favorite and will win it. Powell lost a lot of pieces and will be playing catch-up but I would not count them out.

Estill will be about the same probably a little better. Engineers lost a key player in RB Kordel Day but return majority of everyone else that played last season.
