March 17, 201610 yr Just as a sidebar....without googling....does anyone know how many times a day a horse poops? I've never counted, but the amount we clean up a day, it is a lot. Snoopy is like a cat in new litter box when we put him on a trailer, every time he steps on the trailer, he lets it rip.
March 17, 201610 yr Author About once every two hours or so. That's a good answer. On the average 9 to 12 times per 24 hours.

March 17, 201610 yr Author Wow! More than me! Maybe your stomach is too small for your body?:lol2: A horse has a relatively small stomach in proportion to its size. They eat about 2% of their body weight per day, but they do it by grazing (if left to their own devices) about roughly 80% of the day. Sounds like a good life!
