I got curious how the field fared against each other this season. I found it interesting.

 

Campbell County 7-1

Pendleton County 5-2

Mason County 5-3

Paris 4-2

Scott 3-3

Montgomery County 3-5

Augusta 1-5

Harrison County 0-7

 

This means little to nothing come regional tourney time, but it does make me more confident in my pick for the Sweet 16.:no:

IMO Paris or Montgomery

All 5 of Pendleton's wins are on the road.

 

One loss was to open the season to Scott by 2 in OT.

Can'tCoach, might be meaningless, but sure is interesting. Pendleton's talent is going to be challenging for everyone after an up and down season. Belcher is a smart, young Coach and has them peaking at the right time. Dangerous tournament.

If Pendleton is hitting shots with the way they're playing defense? Look out.

For Campbell, Scott, and Pendleton it's a long drive to get to Montgomery. I don't know it that will have any affect but won't the teams have to leave before or right when school is dismissed to get there?

 

Taking that into consideration, I think the Paris/Montgomery winner will be the one to beat for the title.

If you get the early game, yes will probably have to leave right after school.

Even longer for Augusta. Nearly two hours on non-interstate roads.

According to Google maps, Augusta is 1 hr 22 mins. Campbell County & Scott are about equal at 1 hr 38 mins.

Yeah..Didn't mean to leave out Augusta. If it's an early game for those teams, seems it could mess up rest/food/pre-game routines, etc.

We played there at the start of the season and it was roughly 2 hours from Brooksville in a car driving a tad over the speed limit. But we didn't hit any interstates the entire trip.
