That is correct. Not sure if that's always been the case but I know it is at the present time. I do know we played a team from the south eastern KY area that held a kid back and he played 2 seasons as an 8th grader, but that was 2-3 years ago.

Correct. Landon Bartleson of Boyle County was not allowed to play middle school sports because he repeated the 8th grade.
