Definitely a good game. NKU just couldn't get a stop when they needed one. McDonald was very good again. Holland and Danos really struggled taking care of the ball most of the game.

Mo Egger got shown the door by an official in this one as well.

Apparently calling a ref a dinosaur (he looked like he was almost 70 btw) is grounds for ejection. :lol2:

Here's My Story About Being Kicked Out Of An NKU Game By One Of The Refs. | Mo Egger | ESPN 1530

The game itself was thoroughly enjoyable, although the Norse did not win. Oakland, which has one of the better teams in the Horizon League, won the game by a score of 85-74. The final tally doesn't tell you how close and good the game was, and how hard and well the Norse played as it continues to work its way through its first season in the Horizon League.

John Brannen has a team that's fun to watch, is well-coached, and quite frankly, deserves more than the dozen or so students that populated the BB&T student section.

It seem like everytime the crowd got into the game Oakland came down and hit a shot or got a foul call that killed the momentum.

You can sense it coming along for NKU. It will still take a while but you can sense it.

Oakland took Michigan State to overtime and also beat Georgia. Lost to UVA by 13 on the road.

Good team.

Oakland is legit.

I don't see how you can't be excited for the direction of NKU.

Don't students get into the games free?
