Bardstown 64 Bullitt East 60

Featured Replies

I'll bet that gym was packed, and very loud.

Wonder what that place would've been like for a region tournament back in the day.

Bullitt East stats

Shooting - ugly

Rebounding -ugly

Effort -very ugly

A lackluster performance by the Chargers. A mess all the way around, I counted at least 10 missed point blank layups, to add to this debacle. We are coming down the stretch of the season...A good coaching staff will use this game to reel in they're teams focus, and motivation...Especially a senior laden squad as BE.

Bardstown plays great defense, and has a great coach. You will have to have more than one person to score against them. More than one way to beat them on offense. Looks like a good win for Btown; as opposed to a letdown from the Chargers. IMO

Except this is the same Btown team that by over 30 to both Trinity & Southwestern and also lost to Moore who is not really doing very well this season. That is why it is a bit of a head scratcher.

Tyler Sharpe played about 5 min in the first half & had 5 points at the half. Bullitt East missed more easy Layups than I could count & trailed as much as 12 maybe more in the 2nd half, Finally went on a run & tied it up & couldn't get a rebound 3 consecutive plays on the defensive boards on missed foul shots. I think it was a case of overlooking them after a blowout vs Meade earlier in the week and a well coached Bardstown team took advantage of it. It's also a tough place to play as Bardstown shot 34 free throws.

Bardstown is a very tough place to play. And looking at this season; there is no way you can count out anyone. Any team can be beat this year. Bardstown defense is very tough in their building. And I'm sure you're on point about the free throw discrepancy as well. But I just don't think we should take anything away from those kids that went out and won the game; as opposed to just saying the Chargers didn't show up.

Agree that they played their tales off & deserve the credit for that & Coach Brewer coached every play. Sometimes the desire to win trumps talent ..
