Thomas Booker scores 19 to lead the Purples, who sweep Warren Central for the first time since 2000-01 (per Michael Compton).

For what it's worth, the Purples are undefeated this season when Booker is on the court.

Purples are a real contender to go for the double state champs in Pigskin and round ball this year!

This was a great game, and a far, far better game than the first time around. This was the type of game that made you believe that Warren Central could maybe sneak a win in against Bowling Green when it counts. BUT, it's also the type of game that shows why Bowling Green is the heavy, heavy favorite. I won't say they took Central's best punch, but it's not far off of it. And Booker was the difference maker. He got them going early with a pair of threes in the first quarter, and he closed it down late as his five straight points (including a three) put the Purples up for good at 57-56. I really, really wish he'd stayed in Tennessee!

Bowling Green hadn't won at Central in five years and snapped a 13 game home win streak for Central. It basically wraps up the #1 seed for them, barring a Warren East miracle that would require them to not only snap a 41 game losing streak to BG, but to sweep them for the first time in 20 years. I mean, it's basically a done deal. BG will play winner of Greenwood/South Warren in all likelihood (a walkover), while Central and East will battle it out in the 2/3. Don't sleep on that game either.
