14th region top 5 06-07 season

Featured Replies

How is everyones predicted top 5 teams look this season?

JBS and Hazard will be the frontrunners imo.

Probably should wait until the season starts to answer that.

if no injuries happen this year, i have to believe JBS has a lock on the 14th region, hazard is always hard to beat but these guys will probably play a few times with the All A and wymt tourneys to get a good feel for each other. Pcc is still working out some problems and kinks but are always there in the end because of there great coach, unless the dreaded "DRAW" takes them or hazard out of it yet again. Also don't forget about the wildcats from buckhorn, they have been getting closer and closer and i think they have a chance to win that district this year!

1. jbs unless they lose one of the 3 stars(stepp, cox, garrison ?)

2. Buckhorn

3. Hazard/pcc whoever wins when they draw inthe district.

everyone else has lost to many and can't really tell what they will have till we see them!

Augger is probably right..it's hard to tell before the season starts, but my top 5 looks like this :

1)PCC

2)Powell

3)JBS

4)Lee

5)Hazard

1 June Buchanan School

2 Hazard

3 Perry County Central

4 Lee County

5 Powell County

I know coach Wright does a great job with Lee County but he is a little worried about not having Tyler Rich in the middle to take a lot of the load off of Brandenburg... I think he will be missed more than people think... they should battle a young Powell team for that district, guess we will wait and see what happens.

His name is Coach Wright.

Buckhorn #2 get real.

Lee County shouldnt worry about losing Tyler Rich. The Johnson kid isnt as big as Rich but In my opinion is a better all around player. As for taking the load off Brandenburg, Caleb Fetters is better athelete than Kenny (not that Kenny Brandenburg isnt). Lee County should have the best team in the 56th this year with Powell a close second. But Danny Wright shouldnt be worried.

From what i have seen this summer, Lee is not in the top 5. I think they can be with some work, but when they get a little wild and miss a couple from the outside, they miss that dominating big man in the middle to calm them down and get a couple of easy baskets, Coach Wright will have them ready by time season rolls around but right now they are not the top 5.

I have to agree...Lee co. will have a time with Powell co. this season. I see Powell taking the 56th, lee will also have a time guarding Romans of Powell, Fetters and Johnson cant compare to the strength of Tyler Rich...

That would be a correct statement there, they will have a tough time guarding bigger guys, but another good question is will those big guys be able to guard Fetters or Johnson? This Lee County team is going to be a fast paced team that gets up and down the floor, if they are not able to get up and down well, it may be trouble.

My Rankings:

1. JBS

2. Hazard

3. Lee County

4. Powell County

5. PCC

I would say right now

1.Perry

2. JBS

3.Lee

4. Hazard

5. Knott
