Campbell at Highlands 1/12

IMO, nothing wrong with getting your money's worth on a foul especially around the basket. A pretty good coach once told me that there are no "and 1's" near the basket.

Now my question to you, if Wilson or any other big man is physical like you say, does the opposite not hold that perhaps they should be whistled? This has been my argument for most of the year. I have witnessed Finfrock and Hebel both take a lot of body contact on shots around the basket with no call and then when something similar happens at the other end, the whistle blows. I have also heard it said by several officials to the Highlands kids that this is not football.

So where does the line get drawn with what is "good" aggressive play and what is "bad" aggressive play? It would appear to be a very fine line that is not being viewed consistently.

You took that as a criticism when I meant the opposite. I like that style. However , a good coach can take advantage of it.

No I really was not to be honest. If anything, Kyle has been accused in the past of not being aggressive enough. My questions are legit however as I do see things not called at one end and called at the other. Leaves one scratching their head as to what truly is a foul around the basket and what is not.

Oh well, hopefully the Birds show up tonight and play with the same spirit and grit that they have played the last few games with and they finally earn themselves a W.

Still waiting for the guy who always brings it up to say "Well, the 'birds have only been in the gym practicing 7 weeks now due to football ..."

It might be time now here about mid-January to stop making excuses and start winning some games.

It's the curse of being a big guy...Finfrock is very physical. ...he's so big when he bumps someone they react..... he had a couple really agressive fouls on guys driving to the bucket .... he comes across as a bully
