Travel Problems??? This School Has Travel Issues!

Oh, and don't forget the polar bear guard.

I'm all for running around the bulldog at Lawrence Co. so he doesn't take your foot off but this is a little much.

BTW, we used to throw with Casey Bramlet and he said his nearest district game was a 1 1/2 hour bus ride. His furthest district game was 5 1/2 hours and the state championship was 20 minutes...Good ole Wyoming.

LOL, puts a new spin on the old game for sure.

Its good to see that a school board is trying to help their students. Some of us don't know what that is like!

Hmmm...Barrow, Alaska or Cawood? No offense to the fine folks on our southern boarder, but its a hard call. To get to Barrow, we could bus to Lexington, charter to Cincinnati, fly commercial to Spokan or Portland, charter to Fairbanks, then take a fleet of brush planes to a landing strip near Barrow, then sled dogs the rest of the way.

To get to Cawood, we have to take a yellow dog over Pine Mountain.

I say its too close to call.

Amen, Brother!

I've actually been to Barrow. Stood polar bear watch, too. Really. (Regretably, it wasn't for a football game).

I cannot imagine playing football in that environment. And I was there in August.

Also, the fact that this extreme effort and expense is being made to provide some form of opportunity for accomplishment (and mere sense of hope) for the kids who live there should give you some indication of the poverty and despair in that remote corner of America. If ever a football team was needed somewhere, that's the place.

Go Whalers.
