January 9, 201610 yr Terry Pluto, Pulitzer Prize-winning sports reporter for the Cleveland Plain Dealer, wrote an article in which he ranked the available NFL Head Coaching positions. Here's his list: 1. Tampa Bay Bucs 2. Philadelphia Eagles 3. New York Giants 4. Tennessee Titans 5. Miami Dolphins 6. Cleveland Browns 7. San Francisco 49ers Here's the article Cleveland Browns have Terry Talkin' about search for coaches and the great analytics debate -- Terry Pluto | cleveland.com The article doesn't spend much time giving rationale other than to say that the Bucs have the best young QB. In what order would you rank the available Head Coaching positions? You can give rationale for your selections or not.
January 9, 201610 yr If I had to pick which one I'd prefer, I'd take Tennessee. But understand why he ranked them where he did. I wouldn't want to be in the crucible of NY. I think the heirarchy of the Bucs is a mess, although I like Jameis and that roster. Forget the Eagles, pass. Dolphins, same as Bucs with less talent and I'd prefer not to coach Suh ( I think he's a cancer). Browns and Niners are both miserable at the QB position, and that's a crapshoot and what your success hinges on. I like Mariotta and like having the first pick to support him and would prefer that scenario. Probably not the most popular.
January 9, 201610 yr Author ^ excellent points. Ranking SF at the bottom depends on whether one thinks Kaepernick can be resurrected as a QB. If you think he has a chance, then SF is 6th and Cleveland is at the bottom.
January 9, 201610 yr Giants lost a BUNCH of close games in the last two minutes - should still be some gas in the tank. I'd go: Bucs Giants Titans Eagles Throw the rest in a sack and pick 'em.
January 9, 201610 yr The Giants are a franchise that will not freak out after one bad season and fire you. Giants also have two time super bowl mvp Eli manning, Odell Beckham and $50 million in cap room to go with a top ten pick.
