What team has a couple of 6'8 guys that we don't know about at this point? They've already faced one of the best big men in the state in Caleb Taylor, they'll see Colton Elkins on the 26th and they'll see Ross Jenkins in February. There aren't a whole lot of teams out here with a bunch of big men on it.

 

I'm talking about at the state level when/if they get to Rupp Arena. There are some very tough teams that have some big, athletic post players. I'm not saying Mercer would lose, I'm just saying that would be my biggest concern.

Even at the state level I don't see many teams rolling out a couple of 6'8 kids. I don't think any of the teams I am thinking of have a overwhelming size advantage over Mercer County.

Everyone in Mercer's starting lineup is 6'2" to 6'4". I'm just saying it might be a concern if they play a team with a couple of 6'8" guys.

 

And personally, I thought Mercer looked really good with Faulkner playing point and Hager creating a mismatch problem in the paint. I wonder if Hager will play PG in college?

 

The team that Hager signed with recruited him as a point guard. They said that they also liked him attacking from the wing and that he would play all 3 perimeter positions on both offense and defense. That was consistent with most schools that were recruiting him.

I can see him being a really dominant small forward at the next level. Just my opinion. I'll be one of his biggest fans the entire way. Can't wait.
