BTW, it's a good thing it wasn't in front of my District Judge. He would have been sentenced to 179 and have to serve about 30. He don't play on direct contempt.

While I agree Judge Stevens has his issues, you just don't mouth off to the judge in court. Period.

I don't disagree but after reading some of his tripe I just see him as a buttsore little man trying to make everyone notice him. If it wasn't Stevens in this situation then this isn't even news but that's because of actions and comments Stevens has made in the past.

 

I would fully expect any other judge to do exactly the same thing in this situation.
