Even with a weak schedule coming into this game I would still pick Conner to win by 10+. They have a good group of kids playing under a good coaching staff. Even though Noble for Saint Henry is pretty solid.

Don't under estimate Beechwood! They gave conner all they wanted on friday. Game was closer than final score.

Conners press and swarming defense wore St Henry down. Conner is not real big but they have very good team speed and depth. Good win for the Cougars.

Cooner's defense was really strong. They also shot the ball very well. Impressed with their intensity.

I don't agree. I thought they let them play on both sides. It was a physical style that benefitted Conner much more than St. Henry to be sure, but the whistles were consistent.

If it had been called tighter, it might have been a slightly different game. It was a fairly even game the first half, but the big difference in this one was:

1) Turnovers

2) Free Throws (Conner hit theirs, St. Henry did not)

3) Three pointers (same as above)

In some of the lower-level games I officiate I let some infractions go. Otherwise, we would have a 4-2 final.

 

I'm always amazed at the coach who fails to see that I let HIS/HER team get away with the same things I'm letting the other team get away with. They only see what they want to see.
