I'm neither old or uneducated but it's kind of ironic talking about ignorance with the statements you just made.

 

How was it ignorant? Isn't that exactly what the article said? That the main demographic with that was old, uneducated white southerners? Maybe I misread, but that's what I thought I saw.

 

It's not an issue if "whitey is dying" or "woe is the white man," it's a simple issue of the birth rate. The Caucasian birth rate, several years ago, was well below that of African American and Hispanics. That's not a political statement, that's elementary school math. If you take two smaller numbers and add them together, don't expect it to be greater than two larger numbers added together.

Decline or no decline you still have a large portion of the country that feels that are not even being spoken to. Candidates either acknowledge right wing nuts or left wing nuts.

The main demographic should feel that way, because their numbers are decreasing. It's not a major issue, it's not dome big deal where everybody needs to freak out.

 

Old, uneducated, white southerners are a dying breed. More people are going to college, that's the major defining factor with all of this. The white percentage is declining. So, yeah, those people are going to feel that way.

 

I'm not old, nor am I uneducated. So I don't share their view point.

 

As for what is in bold, some of the most ignorant people I have ever met had advanced degrees.
