I stopped reading Joel Pett's cartoons many years ago. When I'm reading the H-L and come to that page I won't allow my eyes to focus on his cartoons. I know he's won awards and such but I personally think he's weak with his ideas and views, and he draws his cartoons on about a 5th grade level of talent.
