Woman Confronted By Police For "Breaking In" To Her Own Apartment

Featured Replies

The more I listen to the main guy the more I say he could teach a class on how to talk to an upset citizen.

How many people took the time to hear what you did. This article gave more people undue doubt about police officers. That's really all it did.

Why would the Sgt let her go on for so long? I quit after 20 minutes and there's still about 25 more minutes.

If he's not needed else where, let her go. Sometimes you just let them tire themselves. He will have people asking the exact same question as you. But he won't be accused of brushing her off or being a jerk.

Not after giving her 20 minutes of repeating the same thing over and over.

Haha you do realize that's basically what happened right?

I'm with Clyde. I don't buy it. If he would've just left without letting her voice her frustrations at all, absolutely. He let her go on for way longer than necessary.

She maybe would've claimed it, but it wouldn't have amounted to anything if anyone listens to the recording.

And that's why you're not a cop.

There's a term I've heard often, that you're not really a police officer until you've been sued or at least threatened to be sued. Being a police officer is often times the same as on scene customer service.

It's sad but that's the state of our country and its rather accurate.
