A top ten ranked team is going to lose in round one of the playoffs.

Beechwood has been number one all season, is it theirs to lose? Is Paintsville a lock in the East? Will the finals consist of the Red Tigers and the Blue Tigers? Paintsville has a much harder road to the finals then Beechwood with four other Top 10 teams in their path, will that make a difference in them making it to Bowling Green? How tough of a road does Beechwood have with Russellville in their path? Who will upset some teams? Who will exit the playoffs early?

West certainly appears to be the easier path this year, East is 1a murderers row. I still think Pikeville comes out of there and wins it all over BW

I still choosing Paintsville to win it all, but no matter who comes up with the win that Eastern bracket is a tough road.

It looks like a three team race to me - Beechwood, Paintsville, Pikeville.

Pikeville should cruise to the semi-finals. I don't expect them to play a game without a running clock in the first 3 rounds. They should be very rested and healthy where I expect they'll meet Paintsville. That will be the biggest football game that the mountains have seen in a long long time. I look for it to be Beechwood vs Paintsville on the carpet.

I do. They beat them 56-28 earlier this season, at Hazard. I'm not sure if there was a running clock in that game or not. But unless Hazard has improved drastically I don't look for it to be close.

Most likely top 10 team to fall is BB. The Mustang season has been an inspiration to so many. But Raceland looks tough in that spot, regardless of being on the road.

I am torn. You can't simulate game speed even if it's against a bad team. This will make 2 games in a month because of how the open date landed this year. On the plus side, all the the little dings and hurts get better. Lots of film on Fairview, Nicholas and Paintsville. It could give the Hounds some time to put in new wrinkles that no one has seen from them. Maybe the chip on the shoulder gets bigger since no one is really giving them a shot at BG.

This is the biggest advantage to me.
