Dixie is much better than their record. They lost a lot of starters from last years team and are coming around. I see them winning this in close fashion.

Based on what? Their last 4 games against "solid" competition, they have been pasted 35-7 (Cooper), 42-7 (Highlands), 42-14 (CovCath), and 31-14 (Ryle). They have wins over Boone Co. and Grant Co. (by 8) -- what am I missing?

 

They did lose a TON off of last year's team, and most everyone expected this would be a tough year, which is fully understandable. I just don't see the evidence of "much better than their record".

 

As for the game at Montgomery Co., I think it ends up somewhere in the 21-14 range for the Indians. It is a beautiful facility in Montgomery Co., should be a nice evening for football in Mt. Sterling!

I would agree, last week Dixie was kicking a FG to tie Ryle in the forth quarter, but Ryle blocked it and ran it back. If memory serves me right, Dixie was trailing Highlands only 7-0 at halftime, and the Cooper score was 14-7 at the half. For that matter my Neers were only beating the Colonels 14-0 going into the half. Yes, Dixie has gotten beat by all these teams but Dixie is very young, and a friend of mine told me they start around 12-13 under class men, sounds like Dixie could be pretty good the next few years. I'll go with the Colonels tonight 24- MC- 20. Best of luck to all NKY teams tonight. :thumb:
