Central 45 Pleasure Ridge Park 19

Final.

Any details on this one? Did PRP rest starters or did they just get mollywhopped by a 3A school?

Class 3A is so darn loaded...

Ladies and gentlemen I present your 3A Championship Front-Runner....Central

There is no way PRP was the 9th best team in 6A at any point this year. They have 0 quality wins.

It was 45-19 final, Prp scored on the final play of the game.

Easily the best all around Class in the state this year. Lots of teams in this class made huge statements. Gonna be a fun couple of weeks to say the least.

Central fumbled 3 times in the first Quarter within what seemed to be a 5 minute span. They then really moved into a passing game which is unlike them but they looked impressive. Really impressive throwing the ball.

Cool. Got the score off of the KHSAA Scoreboard App.

That's bad news for 3A schools that can't defend the pass.

PRP was 8th. Scott County and Simon Kenton are supposedly 3rd and 4th with the only somewhat quality win being Kentons win over CAL. By your logic neither of them should be in the top 10 either?

Maybe the Panthers didn't want to reveal anything before playing Trinity next week. :idunno: I am hoping the 'Jackets do "take state".:ylsuper:

If they are passing as good as they say I give them a definite advantage in the possible round 2 matchup and an advantage all the way to Bowling Green.

People shouldnt be surprised that Central can pass.

Look back to last season and you will see they passed very successfully against Corbin and South Warren en route to the Finals. The only difference was Belfry had a guy named Horton who lived in the face of the Central QB.

Central always has an adequate passing game...their primary weapon is the run game and they always have a big play back who can bust it for a big gain... but the Jackets typically have as good of athletes at WR as anyone in the State in 3A

This is interesting. It takes a more than adequate passing game to defeat Boyle County. Central has athletes that will likely give Boyle County fits. It will be interesting to see if their passing game is indeed adequate enough to ruin Boyle County's season. Their ability to pass the ball will let us know. An offense like LexCath's is a concern. A running team that is adequate at passing the ball that has athletes that can be a problem in open space against Boyle County is extremely intriguing.

Horton is only a Jr. He is bigger, faster, and meaner. Last night he made life miserable for Johnson Central. Belfry also has Cole Bently a returning all state tight end ( I think it was TE) that plays D as well. I think it will be a rematch from last year in BG, Belfry and Central.
