Tuesday 7pm at Scott HS

Go Lady Pioneers. Should be a good one to watch.

Tuesday 7pm at Scott HS

Why at Scott HS? SK has turf.

The field is a couple of feet too narrow and they could not get an exemption. Thus the move to Scott that has a wider field.

How is SK's field not wide enough. Wasn't this accounted for when they put the turf down and reworked their athletic complex? Seems like a major oversight to me.

'memyselfandi'.... Scott's field is turf as well.

At the time the turf was put down I do not believe there was a minimum width specified by KHSAA for regional or state games. Now there is.

My guess is this will be something addressed the next time the turf is replaced.

SK's field shouldn't be allowed simply because there isn't a fence behind the south goal that allows the balls to go down the hill :ohbrother:

I believe they use that as a conditioning tool for the young ball chasers.

As intriguing as the Brossart vs ND game is I believe this is the better of the two games in the area tonight. It will be interesting to see if SK can pull off the upset against one of the perennial powerhouses.

Keys to the game?

SK appears to have more speed but Sacred Heart is more technical and fundamental with the ball.

SK must capitalize on their opportunities and pressure Sacred Heart when on defense

Sacred Heart must control tempo of the game and limit SK's attacks.

Heavy rain will help Simon Kenton. Sacred Heart is more technical and their style of play requires good concentration, heavy, consistent rain is a distraction, harder to play possession style in a heavy rain. But SH still to good, they move on to face NDA in qt finals.

Congrats to the Pioneers on a great season! You've made us all proud!

Did they lose?

Final was 3-0. Great season for SK. Good luck to the Valkyries the rest of the way out. Coach Jaclyn Puntillo is a class act and reps SH well.
