Somewhat off the radar high school recruit, goes to a camp and gets discovered, and a bit over a year later, is starting as a freshman for a top 5 college team. This speaks volumes of Michigan State and Coach Dantonio as to their ability to evaluate unknown high school prospects.
October 24, 201510 yr I think punting was the right decision with 10 seconds to go. It's easy to second guess after the punter folds and drops the ball. If there were 5 or less seconds, I could see trying to have the QB scramble around for 5 seconds and fall. BUT, if there's a penalty, the game can't end on a penalty and they still get a chance to win with a FG. The punter would have been better off attempting a pass than what he tried to do. If there was a penalty on the offense, they would get to run 4th down again with no time left so they could take a knee. The exception would be a loss of down penalty like intentional grounding but no way that would happen in this situation.
