Beechwood will not lose in district play. I could certainly make a case that their wins over Ironton and Lloyd are more impressive than anything on Paintsvilles schedule. Lloyd is a good football team, lost to NKy 6a Top 10 team 6-0 and BW. Look at Irontons losses, and what they've done since. Their first 4 games were murderers row, and they played a couple without their best RB. Add NCC to that mix should BW beat them and they are the #1 team in the state.

Gotta say, at this point in the season, the Bourbon Co win is less impressive than the Pikeville win. BC some how managed to beat Southwestern in week one, since then the have been blasted by a decent AT BEST, Madison Central and Madison Southern, barely beat an 0-6 GRC by a TD and defeated a 0-6 Mason County by 2 TDs. With Bourbon Co giving up 40 points/game. Pikeville is the only real quality win, or really opponent, on Paintsvilles schedule up to this point.

^ On target STEEL_CURTAIN88. I will add that Covington Holy Cross, who Beechwood recently manhandled is about the same quality opponent as Bourbon County.

 

Looking at Paintsville versus Beechwood opponents defeated, the best win is Paintsville beating Pikeville. The next four best wins are all on Beechwood's side of the ledger - Lloyd, Ironton, Cov. Holy Cross, Somerset.

I think Raceland's two losses are to teams that would beat anyone of Paintsville, Pikeville, or Beechwoods best wins, not named Cov Cath or Belfry.

I've had Paintsville as number one in my list for a while. I'm no expert in 1A but I like them to win the title this year.

Sorry. Have to disagree. Pikeville made too many mistakes in that game. You can't do that against a good team the caliber of Paintsville. I will agree that Kash Daniel was determined to get into the end zone in overtime and just wasn't stopped.
