Namvong had 197 yards rushing and took over in second half to lead South to the 27-0 shutout.

South struggled on offense in first half with turnovers and penalties especially false starts. Litton played but wasn't a run threat as normal still nursing a high and low ankle sprang. His mobility was affected.

JC, how did Franklin look?

They really couldn't move the ball on south. I think they had 3 first downs and around 80+/- yards offense for the night. Souths offense helped their defense look better with the turnovers in the first half.

They mixed it up on south some as well but didn't complete a lot of the passes. Once they realized Litton wasn't going to run tonight with both ankles taped they started keying on the backs and then south adjusted with some misdirection plays in the second half and it then opened Namvong to take over the game.

Franklin also took their time running plays and took a few delay of game penalties. Which takes time off the clock. They used all 3 time outs in the first half with 10 minutes to go in second. So Prestons game plan was apparently to slow the game down and take their time to run the play which will keep the game a lot closer.

FS defense played best game yet. Seems like SW's QB Litten was very limited as he didn't keep the ball on any runs except for the late TD after a dropped snap. SW passing game not very good tonight. FS defense stuffed many SW runs for short or no gain. Problem was when Namvong did get through the line he was usually gone. All SW scores but one set up by blocked or short punts. SW defense as good as advertised. FS tried its same 3 running plays over and over and over and over again with the same predictable results. I remember FS getting 2 first downs the whole game. FS did try a few passes out of the wing t but little success. SW has a championship caliber defense but its offense will probably not be good enough unless Litten is able to be the run threat that he was against John Hardin.

The offense is suffering with Litton's mobility issues and Brycen Lacey on of the better receivers didn't play tonight as well. Injuries have affected Souths offense the last two weeks however with the off week next and none of the injuries that severe then they should get the offense turn around come the East game in two weeks.

I know I stated his total yards at beginning of thread but this includes the number of carries and TD's.

Stats for Namvong 197 yards on 20 carries with 3 TD's. Longest run was 74 yards knocked out on the 2 setting up Litton's score.

Cummings had a 40-50 yard diving catch in the first Quarter called back because of a holding penalty on the line. CJ Hayes also had a pick 6 called back because of a block in the back. Had these two plays stood, it would have been a vastly different game as well. Until Namvongs large 4th QTR runs, there were probably more penalty yards in this game than combined Offensive yards.

Oh I agree DT they were a little flag happy tonight. The pick 6 called back and several other big runs called back for holding stalled drives for South and kept the game a lot closer in the first half.

Sounds like SW has the 4a championship in the bag.

I wouldn't say that. I think South has a great shot but needs to get some players healthy.

Another good win for South Warren.
