Russellville gets the big game test they need to make their statement to everyone in 1A. Murray is ranked but they have not been very impressive in getting there. Their 3 wins are over struggling teams and the two times they faced a higher quality opponent, Murray took the loss. Russellville is probably a 1 touchdown favorite in this game of ranked opponents. Does everyone else consider Russellville the favorite in this one? What is the game plan for these two teams? Who needs this win more to impress rankings voters - Russellville or Murray?

VOR, this will be a good one. Murray is the best team Russellville will have faced yet. Johnny Drumgole was back in a big way last week with over 200 yds and 3 TDs. Murray has a good defense and terrific QB. But I like Russellville at home to take this game 21-14 and make a BIG 1A statement!

You know BAC I kind of forgot about them when I said that. Butler Co vs Murray. Woukd be a really good game. At the first of the season, I would have definitely taken Murray, but right now I might, might lean slightly Butler Co.

If Russellville loses, it will be a loss to a higher class ranked opponent and not change opinions much on them. If Murray loses, that is 3 losses to quality opponents and will almost surely drop them completely out of the rankings. Murray really needs a win in this game to be considered a top 10 team in 2A.

Very good points VOR! Murray has lost 2 of its last 3 and with arguably the district championship next week vs Mayfield, Murray REALLY needs a confidence boost!

As I look at Murray, I am not sure how good they are. Beat bad teams. Lost to good teams. I guess that makes them average at best right now. I think they may be overrated at #6 . They need to prove to themselves and everyone else how good they are in this game.

Rville is getting better and better this team is better than last years but this is a good test for them I think they win by a TD or two

Glory, do you know about the health of the Murray team?

Murray was pretty banged up for the two losses w 3 top skill players either out or very limited. They got those kids back last week. Myles (QB) has been bothered by an ankle sprain but seems healthy as well and has blazing speed. I'll take Murray in a close one.

Having Drumgole back helps Russellville tremendously on both sides especially on defense. Before the season started I expected big things from them and I never knew Drumgole was gone and then come back until last week I think. But now he is back the sky is the limit for Russellville.

Murray has not had all their skill players since the first quarter vs Calloway. They didn't have all if them back last week (as was mentioned) and won't have them all this week either. However QB miles is doing much better and RB/DB Britt came back vs Marshall Co and gave a much needed boost
