Not to take anything away from Litlzler because he is a great player, however when looking at stats, and the scores i don't think it's fair to consider his goals were scored against the best competition. Unlike say Day who has scored against Madison Central in the 2-1 win. These look like pretty easy wins for cov cath.

St. Henry 1 goal 5-0 win

SK- 1 goal 5-1 win

Walnut hills 3 goals 7-1 win

East Central 2 goals 5-0 win

Holmes 1 goal 5-1 win

Seven hills 1 goal 5-0 win

CCH has won 10 games to date. In those 10 wins they have scored 49 goals and given up 5 goals for an average margin of almost 5 goals for and .5 goals against playing probably the most difficult schedule of any team in N. Ky. Litzler with 11 goals and 10 assists has numbers that speak for themselves against that competition. Where he stands at the end of the year we'll see.

 

If you were there you'd know he did not score last night as you state above. He did have 3 assists.

You also have to also consider playing time. CCH has the luxury of numbers and has never padded stats so players come out and do not come back in just to score or get an assist.

Based on the stats above, when CCH scores, Litzler has been involved in just over 40% of their goals, this seems like a pretty high number to me.

 

Is it possible that he plays a more important role in the teams offensive production than Day?

I could make the argument that St Henry schedule is harder as they play 5 of the top 6 in the state. I get ohio is better soccer but those teams have not been all that challenging other than Elder and I'm sure Summit. On paper it did look the most challenging.

I could see that argument but saying their schedule is harder because one of the teams they play is CCH isn't quite fair. St. Henry's top four opponents are Trinity, Henry Clay, St. X (KY) and Dunbar. CCH plays Trinity as well so that's a wash. CCH's next three are Elder (better probably than anyone on these lists), Summit Country Day and McNick. Add Seven Hills, Walnut Hills and East Central......just not sure anyone else's schedule matches that but we can agree they both play good schedules.

 

As pointed out, Litzler is involved in 40% or so of team scores against a very good schedule and CCH has scored 20 more total overall than St. Henry. We're not done but he'd get my vote if it was held now.

Using your theory CCH has 40 goals against 6 weaker teams and 1 quality team which you say should not be weighted the same as a goals against quality competition. Not saying he's padding as I realize minutes are less and somebody has to score the goals and I will take as many guys who can put the ball in the net as I could get. Does the opy have to be on the best team? I still like Snow at this point but like you said we still have some match's to play.

ASnow should definitely be in any OPOY conversation.....

Maher Ratings....which does not include out of state teams.....has the following for strength of schedules as of 9/13

 

CCH. 6.98

St. Henry. 6.68

Scott. 3.46

 

If you add in the out of state teams rankings....4 of the 5 CCH played are ranked in the top 50 in all of Ohio and the 5 is ranked top 100.......

This is becoming more of a "Top NKY Players" conversation and less of a Scott/CCH game thread......we may want to move it over there.......

Without having to look it up, who are the weaker teams? We've played Holmes and Simon Kenton who I'd say are the two weakest teams on the schedule. Who are the other 4
