Pulling together numbers for the 2A Fantasty Football Game we did and this is simply one of the most amazing performances I have seen in a while.

This is what the QB from Butler County did:

20/32, 301 yards, 2 TD, INT

18 carries, 100 yards, 4 TD

2 Defensive Interceptions

I have been following this kid closely all season and check out this stat-line through 4 games

58/103, 849 yards, 10 TD, 2 INT

58 carries, 370 yards, 9 TD

3 Defensive Interceptions, 1 Defensive TD

Is Henderson the next Travis Atwell?

Great stuff ATL! I didn't see that this week! Great performance! What is Butler County's liklihood to get to the playoffs and win a game (two games)?

I think they can win a game for sure.. two is going to be tough unless they can knock off OCath.

They will be paired up with the Mayfield/Murray District.

Rex Henderson won our Homers player of the month for August. We got to see him first hand vs Apollo and he is as advertised. He can throw it, run it and defend it as good as anyone around. Sort of a swiss army knife so to speak. Hes a big strong QB, who can stand tall in the pocket and throw a 40-50 strike. He accounted for 6 total touchdowns this week vs Apollo, but as a defensive back, he was also very impressive. Apollo was having a ton of success with WR Rates Lewis in the passing game. I noticed that late in the game, Butler shaded Rex to Rates side of the field and he sat on a lot of the routes intended for Lewis, eventually leading to an interception to seal the deal.

As for Butler's playoff run, we'll see. They have some solid kids around Henderson too. Like ATL said, i would look to the game vs Owensboro Catholic. That could be a potential district title game, but more than that, should tell the tell of how Butler stacks up with the legit 2A schools.

Rex is for real I have watched him play since 2nd grade very athletic very coach able .they have several kids that can play Blake Graham is another kid he has great hands .If their mind set is right they can do well in playoffs .as 8th graders they beat Mayfield with Bright playing up.
