Grant also beat Lloyd last year in a scrimmage. They shut down number 5 and picked the QB multiple times that game. This Grant County Team Is significantly better than last years. Grant wins by 3 tds

Sure Grant Co watch film of the Beechwood game saw how they took #5 out of the game . Lloyd young qb kept throwing into double and triple covers . He never look off once primary receiver. Lloyd must develop the running game.

Sorry, going to disagree with you here. Both #3 and #11 had multiple receptions in the Lloyd Beechwood game. It wasn't throw to #5 or bust. Lloyd's young QB just got outfoxed by Beechwood's coaches. The same patterns that went for nice gains in the first half got picked in the second as BW made defensive adjustments. Good learning experience for Lloyds' sophomore QB. He throws the ball well and is going to be an impact player for Lloyd over the next 3 years.

I would like to see more seem passes and go over the middle but in a little more conservative way. The middle was open against Beechwood, but the Juggs were firing into double and triple coverage, it was bound to get picked.

 

Not a fan of the 15-18 yard out pass, I understand if the receiver doesn't catch it, it goes out of bounds, but the QB was trying to make throws that Elway would of struggled with. The kid is an athlete, give him some confidence by some short safe routes.

I dont understand the whole Lloyd must develop the run game. Lloyd had both more passing yards and rushing yards than Beechwood (stats khsaa) for the game. That loss came down to the players poor job on open-field tackling, and coaching errors such as going for it on 4th down on their own side of the field, and the lack of adjustments to their passing game which resulted in the 4 ints. Im not taking anything away from Beechwood because they are a solid team and they git the win.

IMO opinion Grant co is going to have the same problem as last years Juggs team. Lloyd beat lesser opponents handily, but were out-classed by NCC and Newport.
