Based on the Season. And I know they lost to Boyd County earlier. But I would have to say East Carter is the Favorite.

East Carter has still yet to impress me. Yeah, they have a nice record of 26-2, but they definitely have not played up to the quality of opponents that teams like Boyd, Russell, etc has played. I see a Boyd-EC matchup for the 16th region championship, though...so we'll see just how good East Carter really is...

I would say from what I have seen and heard that East and Boyd would be the favorites. Darkhorses could be Russell, Raceland and Russell.

I agree somewhat. But I think any of those four could win it. I'm not sure I would call Raceland or Russell a darkhorse. How do you call a team that's 23-9 or a team that's 24-12 a darkhorse? I think the gap of talent and quality is much smaller this year than it has been in years past. But don't take me wrong, I'm not hammering you on this. I agree that Boyd and East are probably the front runners. I just don't think you could call it a big upset if someone else wins it.

With Raceland in a a runner-up means that a district champ will have to face Grizzle in the 1st round. Makes for an interesting scenario.

The Boyd County - Ashland game is tonight at 6 also instead of Thursday

Sorry Guys. I read the 24th of May on KHSAA, But was thinking that was Thursday. Yes both of those games are Wednesday the 24th.

East Carter is actually 26-5. Not sure why KHSAA has them at 26-2. I guess they didn't call all of their games in. Same reason KHSAA has Boyd at 16-8 instead of 21-9.
