Interesting cross-state matchup between Central and Knox Central. Knox Central struggled with the athleticism of Bryan Station last weekend. Will they have the same struggles with the Yellowjackets?

Yes

Knox Central is big, strong, and tough... but they have the team speed of a pack of oxen.

Central's offense is not nearly as proficient as Bryan Stations but they will get their share of big plays. Central's defense is better than Bryan Stations and Knox will struggle to put crooked numbers on the scoreboard.

I predict for the second straight week Central turns a turnover into a quick change 6 as well.

35-7 Central

this made me laugh!:lol2:

I think Central's best and fastest players will be too much for Knox to handle. 28-14 Central

This will get ugly.

I don't know if it gets to running clock like Knox/Station, but I believe Central wins by four touchdowns. The biggest difference is Central has never really been a quick strike offense like Bryan Station so therefore the score could stay a little lower.

Just an aside though but would Central qualify as a quick strike defense?

I have always said there is literally no team better in the State at turning turnovers into quick change points. Central might not be able to return a punt for a TD but they have the uncanny ability to pick up a fumble and return it 75 yards while throwing 6 crack back blocks, breaking 5 tackles, and reversing the field HAHA

Scorggins has got the art of coaching the Interception and Fumble return down to an art. As a Belfry fan I have seen it first hand at least three times with one of those costing Belfry a title in 2007.

Yes, very well said ATL. We've had this conversation before about Central - it always runs through their defense.

Keep in mind that a 3 and a half hour bus ride on a really hot day can take a toll. I still say Jackets 28-7.

Wow, your'e putting a lot of stock in a group who is coming off a running clock. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Knox isn't beating them at all let alone by a bigger margin than Manual.

They will charter. So won't be a factor used to taking long trips.

The good news for Knox is the coach is scheduling these games. (they also play Henry Clay) The staff, the players, and the community will come to realize the importance of speed and skill and depth.

Jackets 28-7, as in the Yellow Jackets :) As in Louisville Central my friend.
