The Shamrocks defeated the Bluebirds 37-7 in a freshmen contest held at Trinity this morning.

I only had access to a Trinity roster. The QB & placekicker is Brett Pfaadt. He played very well and managed the gamewithout commiting a turnover. Luke McGuire was the stalwart in the backfield. Geremiah Smith and Jacob McCarthy also played very well running the ball. Jacob Dingle and Joey Powell performed successfully at wideout. Eric Harbrecht, a 6'3" 225lb lineman played very well. On defense for Trinity, Jared Casey, a 6'1" 186lb LB stood out.

Coach Mike Wagner returned to the staff as offensive coordinator. John Ellington remained the defensive coordinator. Mike Magre continued as head coach.

Trinity led 21-0 at the half. When Pfaadt went out of the game after a pileup with a flock of Bluebirds, Trinity chose to go for two point conversions.

The Rocks host Brentwood Academy next Saturday (8/29) at 12:30PM.

Thanks for the summary.

THS,

Eric Harbrecht went to school with my daughter. He is a great kid. Glad he is playing well.

Hard hitting bunch of Shamrocks. When this group is making a tackle, they do it with a purpose. Very impressed but also very early. Congrats little Rocks!! Who cares about overall numbers??? You guys have a great looking group of kids. Can't wait to see more action this year.

Anyone at the game see the down field blocking by the WR's? WOW!!!

The size of some of the Rocks players was a problem. Some varsity teams do not have players the size of these frosh.Highlands inability to complete passes was due to the rush of the D of Trinity. There was some good play from the young Birds. This may be the best team they face all season.

Sounds like Tbjust keeps it going. Congrats on their win. Will have to check out the Birds soon! Good luck to both the rest of year.
