Brandon Marshall shares worries about secondhand pot smoke with NFL

Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall was in Jamaica for his sister’s wedding over the weekend, but there was more than just the nuptials on his mind.

 

In a tweet, Marshall said that “it smells like Denver over here” because of all the pot smoke that was in the air at the wedding and shared his hope that he doesn’t fail a drug test as a result of being in the vicinity. He then directed another tweet at the NFL’s account asking for assistance in dealing with the situation.

NFL players really crack me up sometimes.

 

The league raised the threshold, Marshall is nuts (or hiding something).

 

Maybe someone should have warned the Jets about secondhand Divas.

The preemptive second hand pot smoke claim might be a first. I'm still waiting for someone to use the "that cocaine was medicinal" claim. Veteran move by Marshall here creating a documented alibi.

If he's not a regular who partakes, he's got nothing to worry about. A gallon of water and a 5K should flush his system right out.

That's something to consider when it comes to all these guys getting nailed for weed suspensions. NFL players, it could be argued, are the finest physical specimens on the planet (Vince Wilfork-types excepted).

 

You've got to figure these guys have super-high-speed metabolisms, and with the amount of fluids they take in and sweat out during the course of a week of practice and a game means stuff doesn't stay in their system long. Unless, of course, they're smoking a truly-outrageous amount that would make Jem proud.

 

The guys who get nailed are almost certainly daily users.

I am pretty excited about watching the Clown Show this year so I like Marshall just where he is at.
