Can't hate on the Reds for not trading Chapman and Bruce. They have the advantage of having to control them after this season so they didn't have to get rid of them. If they want to move them in the winter they will have more teams in the mix and the price will still be high.

Yeah if it wasn't a great deal, no reason to make it for either of them.

If the reports of what the Diamondbacks offered are true, and they had better offers, they had no reason not to move Chapman.

 

I don't believe they ever even really considered trading him.
