No Justise, no peace: Celtics' plan to upgrade continues - Boston Celtics Blog - ESPN

According to sources, the Celtics' final offer to the Hornets was a package featuring as many as six draft picks, including four potential first-round selections (a combination of picks from this draft and in the future). But the Hornets could not be swayed and turned down multiple offers to select Wisconsin center Frank Kaminsky.

That would be a crazy move, if true. Stock pile those picks baby....it's worked out great in Boston and Philly.

What? Boston and Philly stink. My bad. Keep your guy and try to win now? Afterall, you may have the 10th or 11th best team in the East with Frank. Only 8 teams get into the playoffs? Dang. OK. I'd taken that deal. Odds are that you'd picked pretty high, maybe lotto, since the C's are so bad.

I think Kaminsky reminds many of Bird.

Maybe many people who weren't alive when Bird played.

Ainge sure was and that's what conts in this case.

Ainge wanted to trade up to get Winslow.

I would bet my house on it that Ainge doesn't compare Frank Kaminsky to Larry Bird.

Me too

Plus I don't see how Jordan doesn't do this deal.

Well...I think Jordan would be better playing now (at age 52) than he is as a GM :lol2:
