June 14, 201511 yr Just saw as much as I could stomach of a woman beating a child and berating him and everyone else in the household on Facebook. Was being filmed by an adult male who did intervene (waaay later than I would have done). I verified with Florence (KY) PD that they were aware of said vidoe, and they had seen it and "it has been handled." He is filming her with a phone. Why not just call the police after about 30 seconds of her hitting this poor kid??? Are camera phones and Facebook our new way of dealing with these things??

I stoped in at Taco Bell yesterday and watched some lady beat her kid in the parking lot. Then come in Taco Bell and act like nothing happened. I was ready to poor my soft drink over her head.

June 14, 201511 yr PJ, I assume these are eventually going to be questions for the court. On one hand (and as we all know) anyone has the freedom to record video and audio in public places but when those recordings potentially slander others I wonder what will happen when some of the subjects of the videos take legal action against the people posting the videos.
June 14, 201511 yr Well, I don't necessarily have a problem with filming it. I would have cut Out the middle mAn and just sent it straight to the police.
June 15, 201511 yr Author Turns out it was filmed a year ago by a man who now lives in NKy. At that time, he lived in PA and the video was turned over to the police. She was charged, got a slap on the wrist and has the kid(s) back now. It is sickening to watch, because even more than the slaps and the big spoon she hit him with, she says the MOST hateful things you could say to a kid. Don't know why he posted it now. But I'm curious - as dang near everyone has a camera phone now and we've all seen the police brutality videos, the heroic rescues, the street fights.....is Facebook putting us in a position to play judge and jury? And possibly executioner? I was pretty close to hunting this woman down when I thought she lived in Florence......j/k....sort of.
