Again, Cam's numbers are very AD like, except rushing yards and TD's. That's worth a little, but not 40M more than AD. We will see on that. If the Bengals were so set on knowing Dalton was their guy for the future still and will keep sticking with him no matter what. They wouldn't have made it so easy for them to have so many easy outs from the contract after the first two years. Dalton's contract is the least player friendly qb contract in the NFL according to a news report this week because of how easy the Bengals can get out of it because they could release him for basically free after this year. The Bengals made his contract this way so they wouldn't be locked into him if he never gets over the hump. However if his play gets better and gets them over the hump then all the incentives will pay him like a top qb. The contract shows they are not locked into him if he doesn't get them over the top soon.

They won't be getting high draft choices in all likelihood, either. Remember his current play is what made them decide to have a contract that would give them easy outs. If they were very happy with his play and no chance they would move on from him. They would have just given him a Cam Newton deal and called it a day and just settled in to having him as their qb. They wouldn't give themselves out if they were satisfied with his current play of inconsistent Andy and not showing up for big games Andy.

They won't be getting high draft choices in all likelihood, either. As for finding a qb who can do as good. Well its harder to find a qb when you Dont have pieces around to help new qb out. We act like if we let him go its automatic rebuilding. Its not rebuilding when you have good pieces around the qb. With whomever we replaced him with they would be walking into a very good situation. I do think if we had a different qb that he benefited more from the team around him than the team benefitted from him.
