How Many Teams Use Immersion Post Practice?

Featured Replies

Did not play football in high school, but I took them after 90% of my basketball practices. We used to say it took 2 minutes to get numb, then you just need to think about something else. :D

I like to think they worked as we won the State Championship, but I have no proof to the contrary.

Raceland has done it for years during camp and two a day type practices, but not during regular practice.

And, to be honest, the players were more compliant with it then I thought they would be. Many liked it.

It is really good for the rejuvenating effect it has on tired bodies. Kids who do it just feel better. Helps with the soreness early in the season (think camp) and also helps with the wearing down of bodies late in the season (fatigue in weeks 8-10).

Especially, I think, for the big guys who pound on every play.

Those who are worried about how many bags of ice this takes... im pretty sure most schools have their own ice machines nowadays..

That is true, but it still takes A LOT of ice. Ice machines get emptied out pretty quickly and take time to make enough more that it is a consideration you have to take into effect.
