What does Crittenden County need to do to improve in 2015? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

This season should be good for them coming back down to class A... Russellville should be their only test in district... going to the Tony Franklin offense will be a departure from the ground and pound days for Al Starnes.. .Should be a fun season looking forward to the Rockets being contenders in class A once again now that Mayfield is up in 2A.

Welcome to BGPs and your first post! I love WKY football and don't know a ton about Crittenden County, but I know Russellville is always a tough customer. I've got that game down in my books as the best 1A game in the West this year now. As it turns out, the Panthers will come to your place and that should be interesting. I hope the district race is still up for grabs at that time.

Surprised to see Starnes go to the Tony Franklin offense.

 

Do they have the material to run it?

 

Rockets are always scrappy under Starnes

They started running it some last season just didnt have the mentality to run it.. so used to a ground game.. they just got back from the Systems Camp at Murray State and they did well there... they will not be the Caldwell County type offense but they have the talent to do well in district and beyond.. One thing about the rockets they play as a team and they play with heart (a staple of Al Starnes teams)..It is a senior heavy team with 12 and 13 juniors whom have known nothing but 2A football going year in and year out against Caldwell (Sindelar/Boyd) and Murray.. They are hungry to get back into Class A where they belong... Russellville will be the favorite i'm sure but you have got to remember Crittenden always gave Mayfield great games and won a few of those along the way.. so with all that Russellville lost not sure how they replace the offensive production.. The Rockets really only lost their running back and 1 wide receiver but had depth at RB and WR so they should be ok and going to the fast attack offense should help them against the bigger teams

Didn't know they had installed the TF system down there. I'll have to reach out to my buddy in Tulu and find out what they look like.
