Final.

Nice work by the Polar Bears. :thumb:

Well played game on both sides. BC held a 1-0 lead through 4 and the piled on 5 more in the bottom of the 5th errors cost MC in the fifth allowing 4 of the 5 runs. MC then scored 4 in the top of the 6th but could'nt get any more across.

Defense was a key for Bracken. Total team effort from double plays to gunning down would be base stealers. Bracken looked extremely focused all night and locked in on the prize.

Scooter Charles deserves to be mentioned in the running, if not the leader for 10th Region COY. He has really done a fine job with a very young group. I don't know in the 10th region's history if Bracken County has beaten Mason County 3 times in one season. They have beaten the teams that they should and played with the bigger schools, all with no seniors(I think) and a few juniors. Good guy, good coach and a good staff under him.

Scooter Charles and Travis Sims are 2 coaches who are under rated as coaches in the 10th region. Both guys beat the teams they should and compete with the much larger schools year in and year out! To my knowledge neither have won 10th Region Coach of the Year but are very deserving each year. Congrats Coach Charles and the Polar Bears on their district championship! We all know you will represent the small schools in the 10th region very well next week! Go Polar Bears!!!

Agree

If Coach Charles were to win this award it would add to the nice resume of 10th Region COY that various BC Coaches have won:

Coach Kelsch: Girls Basketball

Coach Hinson: 3-time winner Boys Basketball

Former Coach Persinger: Softball?

Where is the 10th region tourney at this year?
