Been digging on this guy a good deal lately. He toured with Sturgill Simpson late last year, and he just put out a "live EP" on Spotify. No albums out yet...but the dude's good. He has an album slated to come out later this year, being produced by Dave Cobb, who has previously worked producing albums for the likes of George Jones, The Oak Ridge Boys, Jason Isbell, Shooter Jennings, and Sturgill Simpson.

I dig it. So, I don't know crap about Spotify --- I primarily use iTunes and Prime Music --- how do I go about getting the EP?

Yeah, I'm liking that. I'm also liking the callback to the '90s era with the use of the hot chick bass player.

Kind of along the same vein — this guy's sound is a bit like J.D. McPherson, whose sound I dig. Put that together with St. Paul and The Broken Bones and it's a full-on blue-eyed retro-soul (with a Stax flavor) subgenre bubbling up.
