I am not certain about the status of the goats, there were 4 stationed there last fall but I have yet to locate 2 of them. The 2 that I have found are both stuck in the mud so no worries about them getting away.

 

For the next couple of months I am going to focus my attention on Club Soccer, the field at Cooper will have to wait until June.... this also might give it enough time to dry out.

More importantly........what changes can we expect from the concessions?

Sitting here watchng USA Mexico friendly and the field is worse than Coopers.....

It is funny that you say that OTB, we were watching it last night and thought the same thing.

 

We are confident that the fields are nicer where we are headed this weekend and they have 30+ of them to maintain.

Yes, we are. Sat on #23 at 2, and Sun on #17 at 2.

OTB.... The fruits of my labor, notice it is nice grass and is not all cluttered up with the hash marks, and numbers, we normally have to deal with.

I considered it but with the kids having started back to school I did not think it would be a very safe environment for the goats.

The 18 looks pretty close to the sideline. ... lol

Cooper's field always looks like this when the season starts. The constant beating of the field from numerous games a week is what takes its toll. It doesn't matter what kind of maintenance you do on the field, when you have 6 soccer games a week, 2 football games a week on it the field is going to be a mess.

 

Not to mention, the lack of draining that was installed when the field was put in. It is frustrating, especially knowing how much money and time the AD puts into that field to make it look nice.

There is a full 5 yds, could even be close to 6 yds, that you have to work with. This layout kinda reminds me of the lack of space the NBA has for a 3 pt shot on the sides.

Completely agree KoC33.... I wonder how much a turf field would actually end up costing the school in the long run if you actually took into account the money, time, headaches, etc... that goes along with maintaining what they have now.
