Probably the same way the insurance company took the location into consideration when writing the policy. In fact, I wonder if they'd have to have a separate policy specifically for flooding, given the location.

I can't imagine that they aren't required to. I just looked at the FEMA floodplain map for Newport and Bellevue, and both of their fields are within the 100 year floodplain. (I'm assuming they were located where they were because the land came cheap due to the flood risk.)

Ludlow's stadium is in the same boat as Newport and Bellevue's...100 year floodplain.

 

If I'm not mistaken this is the 2nd time Newports field has been under water since being installed. Some rumors were circulating that they were still having problems with Sanitizing the field from the 1st flooding. Not good if true! I would venture to say that Newport may be going back to Natural turf because of being in the Flood plain. I may be very wrong with my analysis but there aren't many Insurance companies that will write that policy to insure something that is going to flood every 5 or so years and need that kind of Maintenance. Hope I'm wrong!

I would say Ludlow's field is under water also.

 

Besides a very small portion of the practice field, Ludlow's football stadium was untouched.
