Any Ky team have this much talent on one team?

Featured Replies

I was looking on JJhuddle and there was a list of Ohio h.s. signees for 2006 and what H.S. they played at and what college they are attending. I found some amazing information:

Glenville H.S in Cleveland, OH had 21 kids sign to play football at the next level.

This is the same H.S. where Tedd Ginn Jr is from (WR for Ohio St.) his father is the Head Coach.

Also, Cincinnati Colerain H.S. had 10 kids sign to play football at the next level.

Has any KY h.s. football team had this many kids sign to play college football?

Imagine coaching that much talent at the Prep Level.......

Are you talking about D1 as the next level or for any college or junior college? If you are talking about D1 then I would say no but if you are talking about any level after high school I would say mostly definitely.

I wonder if it's 21 offered football specific scholarships or 21 signing on all levels?

No teams in KY had the talent of Glenville or Colerain; interestingly enough St. X, who only had 2 kids go to Div. I schools won the championship.

Doesn't sound like a level playing field, but St. X somehow got it done.

Not everyone of the signees were Division 1 but most were. Half of Glenville's signees signed with "Glenville State" in WVA. Funny...

Both of these schools had several Division 1A signees, however neither one won their state championship this past year. St. X defeated Massillon in the Division 1 state finals this year.

So yes, Talent doesn't always equal championships.

I would still be interested in hearing what team or teams in KY have had this many kids sign off of one team in one given year.

Maybe Woodsrider can clue us in as to what team has in the state of Ky.

Having 21 kids from one class sign to play college football is amazing.:thumb: Almost as amazing as having that many talented kids in ONE class (they might have had a few good juniors as well.:sssh: ) and not making the state finals.

Colerain sending 10 kids off to play college ball is amazing as well. Especially, since this was the year after their "super class" went through. They reload with a bigger weapon than anyone in Ky. has.

And they had just as many if not more the previous season.

Can somebody post the list and where they went?

Yeah, that's what I meant by the "super class" of the year before. ;)
