9th region BOKC

Featured Replies

Since there are plenty of options for Saturday mass in NoKy, is this really that much of an issue? And with it being wintertime, how much difference is there between "early afternoon" and "mid-afternoon" and "late afternoon?" How much difference is there between 1 and 2 pm?

About an hour.. Sorry had to.

With daylight savings upon us.... I do not think there is any difference between 1 and 2 pm this coming Sunday, 1:00 is the new 2:00.

As LuVmdgs said.... Sorry had to.

IMO: The 9th region tournament needs to be in a high school gym. Although the BOKC is very nice easy in easy out lots of room its just not a good atmosphere for high school basketball or at least not for the girls.

Playing on a college-length floor is a real advantage for the champion, as it's great preparation for playing at Diddle - and it will be an even greater advantage next year when the Sweet-16 will be played at BOKC. Not every region can do this, so it is a luxury for 9th region teams. Conversely, it might be an advantage/disadvantage to some teams in the region tourney, and may influence the outcome in ways different than if it was played on a standard high school floor. The greater good seems to be in helping the winner for the state tournament, but that's just on opinion.

In the final analysis the 9th Region powers love the BOKC. Financially it is huge. Don't look for any changes in the future.
