Big win for the Blue Devils!

 

This is the first time in how many years that Scott County and Billy Hicks are heading home this early in the season?

 

Last time I can really remember would probably be 2003 when Grant County upset them. They had the kid that went Miami of Ohio who just blew up on them that game. This was back while they were still in the 8th.

 

Might have been another time since, but that's the last one that comes to mind for me.

Billy Hicks and company usually go deep in the tournament.

 

This was not your typical Scott County team. Billy will be back.

Couldn't agree more. I grew up in the 13th. Real recognizes real I guess you could say, hahaha...

 

Hicks is a great coach and people don't give him enough credit. Yes, they have built a program where kids come to him and all that, but don't doubt his ability to coach one bit. He knows the game, develops players, the whole bit. He's built Scott County into a juggernaut, and is where he for a reason.

Tyler Jones. He was a great player. I was fortunate enough to be the coach that year and he made me look real smart sometimes! Great kid too! Just got married and is now a teacher! It was honor to Coach him and see him grow up.
