Keys for GC: play with focus and intensity on defense, big men cannot get into foul trouble early, and must be patient on offense. Grant County has to come out with more intensity than last night or they will get beat. I think GC proved last year that the stage will not be too big for them and I believe they will win in another relatively low scoring game 56-53.

Must be a Hicks fan. Played a tough schedule and may have lost a few but they're good. I think it will be a good game tomorrow. Hate that no one is covering it. I won't be able to watch.

Nope, not a Hicks fan nor am I discrediting the current coach, Just stating the what I have watched this year.

Regardless the opinions of GC's former coach, or the opinions of the current coach. This is arguably the most talented team Grant Co. has had since the Jones and Plunkett days of the early to mid 2000's. I know they have struggled as of late, but I just find it hard to believe that a team with as much talent as Grant County has this year, that they will not find a way to win on Friday.

You sure like to take out time to blast Grant County anytime you get. Don't know what games you've been to but they play hard and get after it most nights. Defensively they are better than last season and don't seem to have missed much in terms of offense either. I think Grant could win this game but they're both good teams with good coaches.

I'll take SK in a close one, I don't know if Grant shoots it well enough to win this game..but I will say that both teams are better than their record. Don't know how I would feel if I was Collins/Shelby/Owen and see the runner up of the 32nd this year as the first opponent in New Castle.

I never blasted GC, I never mentioned anything coaching. I simply stated they were not playing very well, I think a 14/14 season also shows that fact.

With that schedule, I think it's about where id expect them to be. Not like they played Eminence or Cov Latin. Simons record isn't much better but you're not questioning them.
